  No. 1 [-4] [wrapper title]. Four parts, oblong octavo, each part comprising five lithographs, a very fine set in the original pale blue titling-wrappers, numbered 1 – 4 in manuscript (as issued); preserved in a quarter morocco bookform box. Melbourne, Published by James J. Blundell & Co., Campbell & Fergusson, Litho., [1856].
• Notes:
  Very rare: a handsome set. Gill’s last work before his departure for Sydney. The series was complete in seven parts, only the first four of which were illustrated by Gill, evidently the final parts were completed after Gill had left Melbourne. Bowden omits in error one plate from Part 3; the omitted plate is entitled “Mount Macedon from the Black Forest”. Bowden, p. 120; Ferguson, 9921 (part); Wantrup, 247 (part).
