  illustrating the scenery, architecture, historical events, natural history, public characters, &c., of Australia. Folio, with very numerous woodcuts throughout, bound in more recent binder’s cloth with the original boards mounted. Sydney, J.R. Clarke, 1857. Rare: first illustrated children’s book produced in Australia.
• Notes:
  This is a notably rare book, rich with engraved illustrations of Sydney scenery as well as more general views, most copies have been subject to childish colouring, clipping for the nineteenth-century equivalent of ‘school projects’, and other general abuse; most copies seen are in somewhat used condition.
