  • Notes:
    This work is accompanied by a certificate from Marrawuddi Gallery which states: ‘Wakkewakken are a type of legless Sugarbag Spirit associated with Ankung Djang, a major Sugarbag complex in the Mok Clan estate in the Liverpool River. Here they live deep in the cold water at places like Djabidi Bakoluy, Bibiddoy and at Ngaldaddubbe. During the day the Spirits leave their homes and move around the country gathering an edible bush fruit called Anwak (LeeaRuba). She lives at these places with Ngalyod the Rainbow Serpent and other Sugarbag Spirits.’
