  New Zealand Medal, reverse dated 1845 to 1846.
  (R Parish, Captn F Top, HMS Osprey), with unofficial engraved ornate silver ribbon brooch. Impressed naming. Longley records 11 recipients (7 naval ratings and 4 NCOs and Royal Marines) of the medal with these dates. Recorded in Douglas-Morris (NM). Medal issued 5 April 1871. It is understood that there are only three medals known to naval ratings. Men from this ship were lent to the party from HMS North Star who were engaged at Ruapekapeka Pa. With notes.
