  Small inexpensive fun and surprisingly quick the new breed of MG Midgets were immensely popular. The final version of the Midget the Mk IV was launched in 1974 and came with a 1500cc engine providing a top speed of over 100 mph. Along with its new engine and transmission (borrowed from the Triumph Spitfire) it also received sculpted rubber bumpers designed to meet US crash test legislation. The chrome may have gone but it was still manifestly a Midget. This excellent example of a MK IV Midget in Sunburnt Yellow is a late car from the last year of the production of the model. It is in highly original condition, has been very well maintained and has travelled just 40000 miles from new. It comes with an extensive and fully documented history file.
