Lot Description:The Christ
This little survivor of faith is in beautiful condition, although he seems to have lost his cross to bear. Hand carved from wood with lead hands. The rather explicit finish is typical of Lima Peru circa late 1700's early 1800's. Purchased in 1992 from Antiqua Milafores. -
