    Mongolian Cloth Embroidery Thangka of Palden Lhamo
    Palden Lhamo or Glorious Goddess and in Tibetan Shri Devi, a female tantric Buddhist deity who appears in dozens of different forms. She usually appears as a wrathful deity with a primary role as a dharmapala. She is specifically a Wisdom Protector, an enlightened being and the protector of the Dalai Lama and the Gelug tradition she is also considered to be the principal protectress of Bhutan.

    The beautiful textile artwork was done with such skill she looks to be truly animated riding her horse, the colour is still in very good condition as it was kept stored when not in use in a home shrine of traveling herdsmen of Mongolia.
