  A Superb Old Shield, Banaro or Rao People from the Middle Ramu River Area, Madang Province, Papua New Guinea
  this very beautiful old shield has some of the finest carved designs in high relief of any shield I have ever owned. In terms of Ramu Shields of this type they often have only a triangular portion of design at the top of the shield, which this shield has along with more circular designs on both sides of the triangle.
