    GRAF ZEPPELIN AIRSHIP: A rare original 'first round the world flight' commemorative envelope with U.S. postage stamps
    addressed from New York to grand hotel Burgenstock Switzerland, post mark stamp "STATEN ISL. N.Y. , ST GEORGE STA , AUG 6 10:30 AM" and stamped to rear" FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, BODENSEE, 10 8 29 13-14" with printed address "658 Van Duzer Street Stapleton, Staten Island New York" 5x3 inches. LZ-127 Graf Zeppelin made "two" Round-the-World flights. The trip's American sponsor, William Randolph Heast, insisted that the flight begin and end in America, so the "American flight" began and ended at Lakehurst, New Jersey. But Germans believed that their ship should begin and end its flight in Germany, and so the "German flight" was from Friedrichshafen-Friedrichshafen.
