Lot Description:Six Fine Large and Ancient Stone Axe Heads from Papua New Guinea
I always kept the best stone axes for my own personal collection, the criterion for keeping them was the best shape & feel in my own hand. These have been in my private collection for 40 years. The two on the far left are from the Sepik River area, one a fine chisel & the other a massive axe for making canoes. The others are from the Western Highlands & Enga Provinces.
