Notes:This painting is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Papunya Tula Artists, Alice Springs, which states: ‘This painting depicts designs associated with the travels of a group of women, represented by the ‘U’ shapes, to the rockhole site of Yumarra, near Tjukula, Western Australia. The women had travelled from Punkilpirri, a large permanent water site, north–west of Docker River in the Walter James Range. The women gathered at Yumarra to perform the ceremonies associated with the area. They later continued their travels to the north through Tjukula and Tjalili. The arcs represent the sandhills in the country through which they passed.’
