Description:DONINGTON AUCTIONS' INTRODUCTION:
Graham West lived a life of service. Serving with the RAAF from 1977 through to 1983, Graham started in the Crash Fire & Rescue Dept and later moved into RAAF Police. Staying in Victoria, he joined the South Melbourne Councils Bylaws Dept as Local Laws Enforcement on motorbikes. After a number of years, he saw an opportunity with the Victorian Department of Justice in the Sheriff's Office, where he served for over 10 years until retirement. His greatest achievement being the redesign of the Victoria Sheriff’s Office badge, which still exists today.
Graham West was a Life Member of PICAA Police Insignia Collectors Association of Australia becoming a Life Member # 046 in the late 1990’s. Graham was also heavily involved with the Victorian RSL having been a member for some 45 years and a former Committee Member of the Werribee RSL. Graham West of later years was also an active member of the Freemasons Victorian and an ex-Justice of the Peace. An avid collector, Graham initially started collecting Fire Engines and related vehicles up until the mid-1980's, at which point the collection was dispersed. After the dispersal, Graham started to collect Police Vehicles, badges, and insignia up until his passing earlier this year. With a diverse collection of over an estimated 750 scale models and figurines, a selection is currently for auction with Donington Auctions.
An opportunity therefore exists to acquire a myriad of emergency vehicle models, predominantly by Lledo Vanguards, spanning a number of decades. English Police vehicles feature prominently, with fire vehicles by various model manufacturers in differing scales also for sale. International emergency vehicles are also represented. Interesting scale figurines, especially Australian Police, are also part of the collection sale.
All in all, a comprehensive collection that is sure to interest collectors with its diversity and quality, all with an emergency theme.

This is a timed online auction with Lot 1 closing at 3pm on Sunday 4th June 2023, and subsequent lots at 1 minute intervals, with the last lot concluding at 6.25pm.
