Theodore Bruce is delighted to bring to auction the contents of heritage-listed Raeburn Homestead in Breadalbane, as removed from the property for ease of sale and to be sold in our rooms.
One of Australia's finest colonial estates, the neo-Georgian homestead features a gentleman's smoking room, stable complex, croquet lawn and a working cattle farm.
Raeburn House was built in the 1850's by the Chisholm family, the most notable of whom was Australian humanitarian, Caroline Chisholm.
ABOUT THIS AUCTION:
This is a timed online format auction, meaning that bidders can participate in the auction via computer only. Bidding for the first lot closes at 6pm, with a 1 minute delay between subsequent lots.
Please be aware that it is possible to bid on Theodore Bruce's sales through two websites, which attract different fees. If you bid through Theodore Bruce's site, there is no additional fee to bid online, however, if you bid through Invaluable's website, there is an additional 3% fee (on top of the buyer's premium) which is charged by Invaluable.

Please remember to allow time to register, so don't leave your bidding to the last minute ! In fact, we recommend that you register to bid a minimum of 24 hours prior to the auction.
Take note that the viewing is strictly by appointment in Leichhardt, (the goods are at a storage facility - address to be advised when making your appointment). In order to arrange an appointment, please contact the auction house by email on info@theodorebruce.com.au. Collection of your successful purchases will also be from this address and is strictly limited to 2nd November. The auction house will contact you to arrange a collection time.
