    An ivory tusk carving, Meiji period
    the section of slightly curved cylindrical form, well carved in high relief with three fierce looking tigers with polychrome detailing, below a band of cloud scrolls around the mouth rim, inset wood base
    27 cm high
  • Notes:
    CONDITION: The inset base now loose. Some brown staining around the lower edge, some slight surface wear and fine spotting possibly from paint specks, two curved hairline cracks around the mouth rim ♦ This lot has been identified at the time of cataloguing as containing organic material which may be subject to export or import restrictions.
