  NUMBER PLATE:Queensland single digit registration plate '9'
  This important single digit number plate was issued to the 9th registered motor vehicle in Queensland. Q9 was first issued to Victor William Croston on the 1st July 1921 in Brisbane and was fitted to Mr Croston's Hupmobile. Mr Croston resided at "Warrnambool House" on Milton Road, Auchenflower and later at "Mienena House" on Dornoch Terrace, Highgate Hill, Brisbane. Purchased by the current owner at the Great Qld Plate Auction held in June 1985. These plates were offered by QLD Department of Transport with other low digit plates via auction. Q9 have adorned a range of vehicles that the current owner has driven over his 34 years of ownership. Since being issued in 1922, this is only the second time in 97 years that these have been on the open market so possibly a once in a lifetime opportunity is presented here to acquire a piece of Queensland motoring heritage.

  The pair of Q9 plates and the right to display is sold with accompanying certificate of Registration of Motor Vehicle issued by QLD Department of Transport & Main Roads.
