    of rectangular form, carved on either side in pierced relief with trailing branches of gourd vine and 'lingzhi' fungus, a bat resting on an upper corner, the large gourd carved in relief with the characters 'zhai jie', the reverse carved in Manchu, attached silk tassel, fitted wood box
