Notes:Kesa are cylindrical shell wealth objects and they came in different sizes & values. Said to have been made by the spirit Pongo. People preserved kesa by wrapping them in ivory palm leaves & burying them in the ground or by storing them in caves for safety from raids. Kalusape, was the highest value possessed only by chiefs
