Lot Description:An Old, Carved & Painted Aboriginal Figure, possibly Mornington Island, Gulf of Carpentaria, Queensland, c. 1950s
finely carved & painted, this figure shows a man in full ceremonial dress & body paint, wearing a Kunapipi headdress, the arms are articulated & probably held a ceremonial spear at one time.
