  “Patriotic Carnival.- The Committee has pleasure in reporting that the Carnival held by the Club in October last, notwithstanding the adverse weather experiences, proved successful in every respect, and resulted in the handsome amount of £7763 being handed over to the State War Council.”“Football.- The Committee resolved, prior to the commencement of the season, to adhere to its previous resolution that the Club’s Team should not take part in League Football during the continuance of the war.”
