Notes:Daryl Duff was affectingly known as the ‘fastest butcher in Brighton’. He was a former president of the Victorian Historic Racing Register, a regular competitor and well-regarded by his peers. Daryl owned this car from 2000 with the car having held a CAMS Group 2b log book since 1991. This attractive Z has had a great competition history in Victoria where it was run in Marque Sports /Sports Car racing, Victorian Sprint Championship events, Regularity events, Sprints and Hill Climbs events. Notable was a 1st in class at the 2016 Myrniong Historic Car Sprints. Having last competed in 2016 in a Victorian Super Sprint event at Sandown, the car has been in continued development across its competition life. This 240 is fitted with the later (and larger) Nissan L28 (280Z) inline 6 cylinder engine which has been taken out to 3 litres and features triple weber 45DOCE carburettors, a 5 speed gearbox, flared guards, disc brakes all round, Perspex rear and side windows, fibreglass bonnet and bumpers and Perspex headlight lenses. The car comes fitted with a full aluminium roll cage, race seat together with the original seat, spare gearbox, differential, steel bonnet, body panels and other spares (as per images attached). This car is sold with a CAMS Group 2B Prod Sport logbook and would suit a return to Circuit racing, Sprints, Regularity and Track Days.
