  .44 calibre percussion, with octagonal barrel, maple stock with all brass fittings, lock plate engraved "Jas Golcher" with a duck hunting scene, brass patch box to butt with hinged cover, has a brass plate repair to stock, fitted with later wooden ram rod, extremely heavy example, barrel length is 59cm, overall length is 99.3cm, circa 1840s
