    head and shoulders portrait with gild embellished kepi and tunic buttons, name inscribed to verso, in leather case; with research material on Filloon including a biography and copies of his pension files (a lot)

  • Notes:
    Robert Filloon enlisted at age 42 on 11 August, 1862. He was wounded in both legs at the charge at Port Hudson, Louisiana in June 1863 and his right leg was amputated. Filloon was discharged on 12 September 1863 and died in 1867 from chronic diarrhoea at Eaton, Michigan aged 47.
