  Antique Japanese carved ivory Hotei figure
  depicting Hotei (Chinese Putai), one of the seven gods. Figure standing with his sack of treasures over his shoulder and carrying the staff of a travelling monk. Signed by Keiseki. On carved wood stand. Height 19cm approx, figure only.
• Provenance:
  Acquired by vendor's family in Hawaii during the 1960s. Descriptive card from The Gallery, Lahaina, Maui, available.
