Lot Description:A set of five early 20thC Meissen style Dresden Monkey Band figurines
after the originals modelled by J.J. Kaendler at Meissen c.1753/54, includes the conductor, violinist, two drummers and a bugler, polychrome enamel in 18thC formal dress, gilt enrichments, each raised on a rocaille plinth. Printed mark for post-1901, blue underglaze Carl Thiene monogram and stripped Dresden mark, one drumstick a.f. and the bugle re-gilded. Height approx. 150 ea. -
