    A hardwood Ming-style folding armchair Jiaoyi, 20th century
    the rounded crestrail ending in outswept handrests supported by the curved extensions of the front legs and slightly curved back splat carved with a lappet-shaped dragon cartouche above a pierced panel of a qilin among clouds, the seat frame with a shaped beaded edge apron carved with chilong and foliate scrolls, the whiplash curve of the front legs securing metal struts to the crest rail and metal strapwork on the structural joins and footrest.
    106 cm high, 74 cm wide, 74.5 cm deep
