• Notes:
  This is a major self portrait of Stenberg. Born Auckland 1919 he was accepted into Elam School of Art at the age of twelve due to his exceptional artistic ability. He became a senior lecturer and head of department at the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, Scotland, also serving as official artist for the Black Watch Battalion during the battalion's last days in Germany in WWII.
