  After Franz Xaver Winterhalter (1805-1873) - 'The Empress Eugenie' surrounded by her ladies in waiting
  the original painted 1855, Château at Compiègne the miniature finely painted on ivory. Gilt framed under glass. 125 x 180.
• Notes:
  Winterhalter was a German painter and lithographer known for his portraits of royalty in the mid-19thC. Among his best known works is 'Empress Eugenie Surrounded by her Ladies-in-Waiting'.
