Notes:This painting depicts the site of Mamultjulka, an island in a freshwater lake to the northern side of Lake Mackay. There a small fleshy shrub produces a small black seed which grows in abundance after the falling of rain. This seed is collected and ground into a paste and cooked in the coals making a type of bread, and was eaten by the Tingari Men when they performed rituals in the area. the father of the artist passed away this site.
