Lot Description:A Nepalese Polychrome Wood Sectional Torna, Circa 17th Century
covered with a red lacquer background, deeply carved at the top with a large seated figure of Garuda flanked by two Makara standing on large serpents above a seated Ganesh, a partly illegible Newari inscription across the bottom, which includes "Twice Blessed Ganesh" and would have included a date, decorated with green, blue and gold lacquer.
