    The Collection of Malcolm Angus
  • Notes:
Malcolm painted the nine Lindy Chamberlain pictures after completing Fine Arts studies, as a visceral response to her terrible experience at Uluru (then Ayres Rock) having experienced the sudden disappearance of one of his children.<R><R>He remembered how he was unable to recall the clothes his son was wearing & how impossible it seemed to gain enough attention to help search for the missing child. His child was found unharmed.T<R><R>The paintings were exhibited in Sydney & then Canberra in support of the first act of the Lindy Chamberlain Opera. <R><R>This showing of the paintings in Canberra was organised by Robin Archer . <R><R>The paintings were then put away. He believes that the paintings, if studied closely, reflect his views of the treatment of Lindy Chanmberlain and the trial by media that occurred.
