PRIVATE MAIL FROM THE EXHIBITION: 1881 illustrated cover for the Melbourne branch
of the American firm Tuttle & Co Portraitists, to America with Laureates 6d single & pair tied by three fine to very fine strikes of the BN 'MC/97', largely very fine 'EXHIBITION' cds of FE22/81 below, San Francisco transit b/s in red, overall light soiling & a couple of minor peripheral tears.
Notes:

Tuttle & Co exhibited "portraits" in the photographic proofs and apparatus section, achieving a Bronze Award.
