  By an Emigrant Mechanic. Duodecimo; bound in the original publisher’s dark plum cloth (extremities worn), the spine lettered and decorated in gilt, all edges gilt. London, G. Cox, 1852.

  This is the so-called ‘second edition’ (in fact a re-dated re-impression). It was printed from the stereotyped plates of the 1847 first edition, which was itself more than once reprinted with the original 1847 title-page before this re-dated 1852 impression. Ferguson, 10254.
