    Goodridge, Charles Medyett. Narrative of a Voyage to the South Seas, and the Shipwreck of the Princess
    of Wales cutter, with an account of two years residence on an uninhabited island… Fifth Edition… Duodecimo, engraved frontispiece portrait and two plates, original cloth. Exeter, Printed and Published by W.C Featherstone and sold by The Author, 1843.
  • Notes:
    Fifth edition: signed by the author on the frontispiece (as sometimes found), and with loosely inserted 4-page list of Subscribers and Patrons up to January, 1845. Goodridge was shipwrecked on the Crozet Islands for two years before being rescued and taken to Van Diemen’s Land. On his return to England he published and republished this memoir, selling it himself (hence the number of signed copies that have survived). Ferguson, 3606.
