  swollen (duck-bill form with short banded Meerschaum end with silver collar the long amber mouthpiece of rich ‘egg-yolk- tone, short crack. Length 100, in original fitted morocco leather case with note of provenance to William Hoffman ‘Who Owned the 1st Music Academy in Auckland in Shortland Street’. About 1870’.
