    A French Second Empire Voltigeur Officer Shako
    French Early Napoleonic Style circa 1820 Bell Top Shako. Complete with large brass helmet plate and original scale link chinstrap. Original leather lining with minor age wearing to some of the leather tongues but generally nice condition. A scarce early military shako. Worn by a French Voltigeur Officer during the second republic of France after the defeat of Napoleon at Waterloo. Good condition for age, felt is still fully intact. Age-related wear. Nice clean example.
