    A large Chinese blue and white temple censer, Qing dynasty, dated '23rd year of Guangxu', 1897
    Painted with two striding dragons separated by a framed inscription, 'Made for the Li family Ancestral Temple' (or Hall), and 'Commissioned by Xi Qiu', an eight-character cyclical dated mark 'Guangxu, guangding year, Shang Guang village'.
    22 cm high, 28 cm diameter

    R & V Tregaskis, Sydney; Collection of Colin Lanceley, Sydney.

    See 'Chinese Blue and White Porcelain and Related Underglaze Red', OCS of HK, February 1975, cat no 118 for a very similar censer dated to the Daoguang period.
