  thread & shell cutlery service, comprising; six table spoons, six dinner forks, six dessert forks, six dessert spoons, two teaspoons and two mustard spoons. London 1830, 1831 & 1834, together with a silver mustard spoon. All bearing the Brodie family crest. Total 2205gms. (see lot 313).

Francis Brodie, born Scotland, served with the 71st (Highland) Light Infantry (Lieut.), died at his home at Lake St John, Remuera,1916, Auckland Town Clerk 1870s, an awardee of 400 acres under the Military Settlers Act 1889.
