  A large Victorian ceremonial ale jug
  with ceramic lined turned oak body with silver plated mounts; the hinged lid surmounted by an angel figure, the scrolling handle with acanthus capping, the sides mounted with high relief figure groups of Aphrodite, cupid and hand maidens, the spout moulded as a bearded face. Maker’s mark for Hendry Bourne and Daniel O’Neill, c.1881-86. Height 410.
