    Mid-18thC blown milk-glass apothecary bottle
    cylindrical with spreading foot and flaring mouth set with disc stopper, with painted green hop wreath surmounted by a blue ribbon. Inscribed with black symbol and lettering : ìMercury DULCI" (dulcified) [sublimated] mercury [for the treatment of venereal diseases]). Height 130.

    A 19thC London pharmacist, William Thomas Robinson, to his son by bequest, thence to his daughter our vendor.
