  1930s. Black leatherette. Text block detached. Compiled by J D Purcell, Foxton. Includes signatures of explorers, aviators, sportspeople, politicians, entertainers and other celebrities. Personalities include Richard E Byrd, Charles Ulm, Charles Kingsford Smith, Donald Bradman, Lillian Copplestone, Sir Charles and Lady Alice Fergusson, Lord and Lady Bledisloe, Zlatko Balokovic, Joseph Szigeti, Roscoe Turner, Clyde Pangborn, Lincoln Ellsworth, Sir Francis Chichester, Charles Farrell, Lord and Lady Galway, Harry Lauder and Gladys Moncrieff. Many signatures accompanied by a portrait. Some accompanied by an inscription or date. Letters from Jack Lovelock and Arthur Purvis laid in. A better than usual assortment. AF. G.
