Lot Description:R&J Beck microscope, c.1882 A lacquered brass & black coated compound minocular microscope
engraved on the tripod base R&J Beck, London & Philadelphia with serial no. 11809. Coarse adjustment by draw tube with thumb screw fine adjustment in the limb. Compass joint tilt adjustment, square stage with 2 spring slide holders, and sub stage condenser with an iris diaghragm. Plano mirror, gimbal mounted on a double jointed airm, complete with a single eye peice, 2 objectives & separate bullseye condenser. In its original dovetail jointed mahogany box, complete with brass handle, lock & key -
