Lot Description:A good Chinese jade carving in the Ming manner
probably mid-Qing dynasty, depicting a bird grasping the twin stems of a lotus flower and seed pod, the two motifs representing perfection and fertility; the bird depicted with wings and feathers carved in low relief to the body. Width 170, height 120. -
