  richly inlaid to the top, sides and internally, with cartouches depicting cottages, a castle, a raven and a harp, within oak leaf, fern and geometric patterned borders, with a hinged, gallery edged writing surface opening to six short drawers (two drawer knobs missing), above a frieze drawer housing a further writing slope, the lower section with shamrock carved columns and two doors enclosing further drawers (one drawer knob missing), platform base, brass castors, 86 x 108 x 71cm Note: signed in ink beneath the writing slope 'The Property of Margaret Howatson ... Montalto sale 3rd Feby. / 1932' and a description of the desk in pencil
