    An impressive early 19thC French large ormolu and boullè clock by Antoine Royer of Paris
    the highly decorative ormolu mounted case with figured finial of a classical woman of the sea, a crayfish held in her right hand, stylised dolphins and shell to her base above the tapered support, the semi-baluster form case with tortoise shell inlaid cut brass including coloured floral highlights in red, green and ivory, the conforming shaped glazed door enclosing the ormolu sectional dial with Roman enamelled numerals, maker’s name to the centre, a base with a further classical female figure and cherubs, scrolling feet, the silk suspension movement striking the quarters on three bells. 510 x 180 x 1010.
