• Notes:
  In 1884 General Charles Gordon Was Sent By The British Government To Assist In The Evacuation Of The City Of Khartoum In The Sudan Which Was Under Threat From A Religious Movement Led By The Mahdi. During The Siege General Gordon Ran Out Of Funds And Was Forced To Print Temporary Currency In Order To Pay His Troops.
