  Gilt copper repousse image of Manjusri
  Tibet Circa 13thC. The deity sits in rajalilasana on a lotus base, his ankles crossed somewhat informally . He holds an open dorje at his breasts, while a lotus borne sword is at his shoulder. The deity with his hair arranged in ringlets falling to his shoulders, and peeping beneath his large circular earrings; he wears a three pointed crown. His throne is borne luxuriant lotus which emerges from elaborate scrolling foliage. Height: 6 ½” (17cm)
