Lot Description:New Zealand Medal, reverse dated 1861 to 1866.
(J Westbrook) impressed naming. Bullock driver Jacob Westbrook, Imperial Commissariat Corps, was a civilian. Both Longley and Stowers confirm entitlement, the latter noting that 36 medals named to Corps known to exist. The Corps employed some 239 civilians. With brief notes. -
