  Artist Statement: Exhibition Monkey Business 8-24 march 2007, Peter Walker Fine Art " My work is a response to industrialized society and the urban landscape. I try to paint its busyness. The haste, activity, excitement and its rules, routines, noise and smell combine to give the city its power and hunger for more. The paintings are mainly collages of dried acrylic paint skins. I use a technique which allows me to make skins like you would find in an old paint tin as it gives an unusual depth to the surface. The combined with the photographic imagery, applied in a similar skin process, and the stencils depicting what I have observed in the streets completes the landscape. "
