  A pair of fine Japanese Satsuma earthenware vases
  of tall oval shape, each painted with portraits of geisha and attendants walking beneath cherry blossom trees in flower, each geisha's costume finely decorated in polychrome enamels and gilt. Signed under the base with two character signature Ryozan along with the Shimazu mon and a fruiting and leafy vine in enamelled and gilt. Height 240.
