  • Notes:
    Andreas Lind Worked And Lived In Trondheim, Norway And In London. He Was Educated As A Sea Captain In Trondheim 1840 And Moved To London In 1860 Where He Started To Paint Ship Portraits. The Ships Are Usually Shown Under Full Sail Off A Coastline And With The Ship's And Captain's Name In A Separate Lining Along The Bottom Where The Letters Are Very Accurately Drawn. In London, Lind Was Commissioned By Especially Norwegian And German Captains To Paint Their Ships. He Is Well Known For His Fine And Well Executed Ship Portraits, Especially Those Of His Later London Period (From 1860) When His Style Had Matured.
